Actually, there is no special meaning in the word Pocari. Pocari was chosen as it has a very light and nice tone.

Why is it good to drink an Electrolyte Drink when we sweat?

Our body fluid consists of liquids and several kinds of electrolytes. If you drink only water when you sweat, your body fluid thins out, and your body stops your thirstiness in order to avoid your body fluid from thinning out further, which is called Voluntary Dehydration. Pocari Sweat has a very similar electrolyte balance to your body fluid, therefore, it replenishes your lost water and electrolytes smoothly.

Is it OK to dissolve Pocari Sweat Powder in hot water?

Yes, it is OK to dissolve Pocari Sweat Powder in hot water, however, it is not recommended to use boiling water as the Vitamin C might be destroyed.

How long can I keep the product once opened?

Usually for 2-3 days in the fridge once it’s opened. However, if you sip from the bottle, please consume promptly.

Is it OK to dissolve Pocari Sweat Powder in a metal container?

The taste will be somewhat affected when you keep the product in a metal container. It is generally known that stainless is very resistant to corrosion, but small scratches in the container can possibly damage it. Please refer to ‘Cautions for Usage’ when you use thermos to keep Pocari Sweat.
